Belakang Padang Island
  

In early July ago I was with a coworker and some other friends visited Belakang Padang Island.  Belakang Padang  Island is part of Batam Island in Batam Island which is located outside adjacent to the district Sekupang and Singapore, but crossing the strait must be small to reach areas using a wooden motor boat.

According to information I received Belakang Padang Island  Area 68, 4 km2 with a population of 19. 185 inhabitants (2001 population statistics) are divided into several villages or urban villages are:

* Village of Tanjung Sari
* Village of Sekanak  Raya
* Village of Pemping
* Village of Kasu 
* Village of Pecong 
* Village of Terong Island 


There are 55 small islands are included in the District of them are Belakang Padang :

Bustling atmosphere of many people passing by in the harbor because it is being implemented at Sea Eagle Boat 2010 and followed by several neighboring countries, so for me a time to immortalize the moment with a photo with one of the participants.

   

 Sea Eagle Boat is an annual program batam city government as a supporter of efforts to Visit Batam 2010. Belakang Padang  very heterogeneous population, mostly immigrants from some regions of the other islands in Indonesia such as Padang, Javanese, Malays, Chinese and several other tribes. 

Public transportation in place is a three-wheeled vehicles are often called " Becak "  which is the main transportation on land coupled with the " Ojek ".  Small boat, or more often called " Pancung "  used by residents to travel Belakang Padang  other islands including the island of Batam, this ship can carry a maximum of 10 people. 

  

The main purpose of me and my friends are actually visit  my good friend's wedding invitation that did stay with his family in the area. 

I felt the atmosphere other than the usual, very different from Batam island which is always noisy with the loud sound of a vehicle that never-ending. 

If  you wish to visit or spend a holiday in the area there are several hotels that cost very cheap yasmin and thus no confusion for the rest of the night, and according to some residents, the beach area is also very beautiful, but we do not have time to visit it today has afternoon and we had to get back to Batam. 

You are interested to visit a very peaceful atmosphere, comfortable and away from the city noise but at a cost that is not expensive then Belakang Padang  is the place.
